Pillow & Post

Editorial Policy

The standards our content is held to — accuracy, sourcing, independence, and how we handle it when we get something wrong.

Accuracy and sourcing

Every factual claim on Pillow & Post traces to a source. Product specs and certifications are read from the product listing and the maker’s published line on a dated visit, and that date is shown on the page. Claims about a certification’s scope link to the certifying body. Claims about back pain and firmness link to published research or consumer-health guidance. Where a fact isn’t published, we say “Not published” rather than estimate.

No fabrication

We do not invent reviews, testimonials, star ratings, sleep-trial anecdotes, or prices. We do not claim to have tested products we haven’t. We do not claim a certification covers something it doesn’t. Prices render only from a live data feed; if no live price is available, we show “Check price” rather than a remembered number. Our full method is on the methodology page.

Independence

Recommendations are made on merit, not on commission. We earn an affiliate commission when you buy through some of our links, but that never determines what we recommend, and we regularly point to the cheaper option when it’s the right call. Where we’d skip a product, we say so. See our affiliate disclosure for the full funding picture.

Update cadence

Prices refresh daily and carry the date they were pulled. We review roundups and model reviews at least quarterly and re-check each featured product’s stated certifications on each refresh, since a maker can change construction or drop a certification. When we refresh a page, we update its “last updated” date. Year tokens (2026 → 2027) are refreshed on the annual review.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it. Spot a factual error — a spec, a certification claim, a broken link — and email us at info@pillowandpost.com. We check it against the source, and if you’re right we correct the page and note that we did. Serious corrections are called out on the affected page.

Not medical advice

Pillow & Post is written by an enthusiast, not a doctor or chiropractor. Nothing here is medical advice. Back and joint pain can have serious underlying causes; if yours is severe, persistent, or comes with numbness or weakness, see a qualified professional. A mattress is one factor in comfortable sleep, not a treatment.
